Matt's Blog

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us. 2 Cor: 5:20

Welcome Back…

I do not think the songs are appropriate, but I’d be lying to you if I said both “Welcome Back” by Mase and “Mama Said Knock You Out” by LL Cool J’s haven’t come across my mind a few times while building out this blog again… mainly just the lyrics “Welcome Back” and “Don’t call it a comeback“… 🙂

A few years ago, I was writing nearly weekly. I was focused on writing something regularly for people to read but I think I was more focused on quantity rather than quality. I was focused on trying to grow an audience but not focused on speaking to the people who may take the time to actually read what it is I was writing. I also wouldn’t say that I was focused on writing what God had been tugging on me to write about.

Since then, the Lord has continued to work on me and slowly but surely pivoted my focus more towards Him. I’ll be pivoting (Friends reference anyone?) more towards him the rest of my life… for now part of that journey is to pick up the digital pen and start to write again.

It has become plain as day to me that He wants to use me to be a conduit for Him (2 Corinthians 5:20 / 2 Corinthians 2:14). That I’m meant to speak to my generation (Acts‬ ‭13:36) and that I need to take the time to write what I’m learning, experiencing, and walking through. See more on the Bio page.

I think that I’ll initially focus on the intersection of applying Christianity in the day in the life of a Business Professional. That may change with time.

I truly hope it’s valuable to some of you. Know that my prayer is that it is increasingly NOT about me and but rather about Him working through me.
